Plain-language terms for using the Unroam app and website.
1. Who we are
Unroam is made by Tonnie Buist, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands. These terms apply to the Unroam app and to this website. The purchase of the physical Unroam Key is covered by separate sales terms shown in the webshop at checkout.
2. What Unroam is — and is not
Unroam helps you block distracting apps and websites on your own device during sessions you configure yourself. It is a self-control tool, not a security or parental-surveillance product. You decide what gets blocked, when, and how strictly; you can always regain access through the options in the app (your Key, ending a session, or an emergency unlock where enabled).
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Unroam app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. Do not resell, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or the service around it.
4. Your responsibility
Blocking settings are your own choices. Do not rely on Unroam in situations where being unable to reach an app or website could cause harm — for example emergencies, work-critical duties or navigation. Phone calls are never blocked by Unroam.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep Unroam reliable, but we cannot promise the app will be available or error-free at all times. Features depend partly on Apple’s and Google’s platforms and may change when those platforms change. We may update the app and these terms; significant changes will be announced in the app.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by Dutch law, our liability for damage arising from the use of the free app is limited to what mandatory law requires. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Privacy
Unroam collects no personal data; everything stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
8. Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, without limiting rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
